AC-Impedance Spectroscopy
Corrosion rate of engineering alloys in resistive corrosive environments are measures at MTL with the Frequency Response Analyzer of the state-of-the-art Advanced Potentiostat/Galvanostat/FRA (PARSTAT 2273) just marketed by EG&G Princeton Applied Research. Our laboratory was among the first to acquire this instrument and we offer a host of AC/DC techniques related to Electrochemistry, Corrosion, sensors, batteries/Fuel Cells, Electro polishing/Plating and Biomedical applications.
Following is a list of specifications of this system:
- 2A current max. (20 A booster)
- 100 V compliance
- 1.2 fA current resolution
- > 1013 Ω input impedance
- < 5 pF of capacitance
- 10 µHz to 1 MHz built-in analyzer for impedance
